Thriving and Surviving as Coalition Leaders
A Day-Long Retreat for Coalition Leaders
Presented by Healthy Communities Massachusetts

Join Gillian Kaye and Tom Wolff for this one-day event for community coalition leaders. Share and learn about such topics as: setting priorities; managing work flow; how to keep the big picture in view; and balancing the day-to-day operations of a coalition.

Gillian Kaye is an international community development consultant in the areas of organizational and leadership development, coalition building, community organizing and training. Her 15 years of experience in the field includes work with foundations, cities, the federal government, and non-profit agencies. Gillian is co-author of From the Ground Up, which is now in its third printing.

Tom Wolff is the Director of AHEC/Community Partners of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, a technical assistance and training program for those involved in coalition building and community development. Tom is a nationally recognized authority on coalition building and community development with over 30 years experience. He is co-author of two books, From the Ground Up and The Spirit of the Coalition.

To register for this event, print out and then fill out the registration form. Fax or mail it to HCM by March 19, 2002. This special event is limited to 40 participants, and registration is on a first come-first served basis. The registration fee of $45 includes materials, as well as breakfast and lunch. (Scholarships are available.)
