Finance and Administration Director

AHEC/Community Partners Amherst, MA

AHEC/Community Partners is a small, friendly non-profit organization based in Amherst, MA working on progressive health care and community issues. We are seeking a fulltime Finance and Administration Director to join our team. Candidates should have 2-5 years experience in non-profit management and funds accounting (or comparable work background), as well as experience with government contracts. Candidates should also possess strong communication skills, an interest in working in a fast-paced non-profit environment, and a sense of humor.

Position Description: Fulltime Finance and Administration Director to provide organizational leadership in the areas of financial management, benefits, compliance, and purchasing in order to meet fiscal, administrative, corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Maintain an accounting system for disbursements, receipts, cash flow, payroll, purchasing, and account reconciliations.

2. Manage reporting and operational compliance for funding sources, including administrative compliance issues (ADA, etc.).

3. Manage budget development, analysis, and reporting.

4. Maintain personnel, payroll, and benefit systems, as well as employee review systems.

5. Manage all htmlects of contracts, sub-contracts, and leases.

6. Coordinate audit activity.

7. Provide supervision of fiscal staff and off-site staff involved in financial or administrative activities.

8. Participate as member of management team.

Location: Amherst, MA
Starting Date: May 1, 2002 Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Salary: $45-55,000, plus health, dental and retirement benefits
